In the past two years, wedding organizers have dealt with numerous changes, adjustments, refunds, event cancellations, crisis management and other contingecies. That is why there was a great interest for the 8th DWP Congress (Destination Wedding Planners Congress), the largest B2B platform in the world of destination weddings. As our CEO Ivana Škrlec was one of the representatives of Croatia, we recently shared a video on social networks in which we tried to summarize her experiences from magical Bali. Thanks to Story.hr, we now bring a report.
The three-day event was filled with stimulating panel discussions about the latest trends in destination and luxury weddings organization. Sustainable ideas are increasingly prevalent in this segment. That makes us especially happy because Altera is also turning its business towards sustainability with its latest Organic Altera program. Furthermore, congress guests enjoyed gala dinners and cocktail parties, and connected with other industry experts in one-on-one meetings. The event connected wedding organizers with the best suppliers from more than 70 countries.
„Altera is recognized as a reliable partner for luxury weddings implementation, due to the breadth and quality of our offer“, said Ivana. She added that weddings are no longer only about food and drinks: „Clients are looking for an experience, additional content and a surprise factor. These can be dance or acrobatic acts, performances by various artists… Inserting an entertainment program is very important. It helps to develop the course of the evening.“
„In our constant effort to remain competitive, this congress is important because of the education and strengthening of our cooperation with foreign partners“, Ivana concluded for Story.hr, adding that the whole event left her breathless.
